Acheson Doyle Partners

Acheson Doyle Partners is a New York City based architectural design and planning organization whose principals came together as collaborators, and finally as partners in 1986, after meeting at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.  The firm's philosophy is deeply rooted in a rigorous design methodology with ongoing review of issues of scheduling, scope and budget; a methodology that combines an awareness of the integration of architecture and engineering with a profound understanding of culture and history.

Since the firm's inception, Acheson Doyle Partners has established credentials in educational, institutional, commercial and residential projects that are presented within this web site.  The firm also has established expertise in technical preservation and infrastructure renovation and, through ongoing continuing education courses and professional seminars, Acheson Doyle Partners stays current with the major environmental and energy concepts embodied in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) principles as developed by the United States Green Building Council.  ADP Architects, P.C. is a member of the United States Green Building Council and employs a number of LEED accredited professional architects.

Another focus of Acheson Doyle Partners' practice is the careful use and integration of contemporary programs in historic and landmark properties as demonstrated in projects completed in New York City, as well as numerous other locations throughout the United States and abroad.  In addition, the firm's practice was featured in Architectural Record in a two-part article entitled, "Building a Successful Practice" which discusses the collaborative design process that the firm pursues.

Acheson Doyle Partners has made a commitment of direct partner involvement in the design and construction process in order to assure design excellence, cost control, and timely construction in all phases of a project.  The firm consists of 17 highly educated and diversely qualified professionals, and is fully equipped with 17 AUTOCAD 2002 workstations and 3D Studio for drawing and rendering.  Currently, the firm has ongoing projects in two states and two foreign countries, and its work has been recognized in architectural publications here and abroad.
