Michael F. Doyle has had over twenty-seven years of experience in hospitality, educational, religious, and institutional projects, and has been involved in the full scope of architectural design, project management and construction supervision.

Currently, he is directing the additions and renovations of the guestrooms and new rooftop club facilities at the Metropolitan Club in New York City.  He has completed a 180-room hotel in Boston; the rebuilding of LeGras Hall, the headquarters of the Sisters of Charity in Riverdale, NY; and the expansion and renovations of the Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs.  He directed the design and construction of a theatre and gymnasium at Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx and the ongoing exterior and interior restoration of the Ritz Tower, a midtown Manhattan residential building.  Mr. Doyle is the Architectural Consultant for all aspects of the ongoing restoration and upgrade work at the Church of Saint Ignatius Loyola, New York, NY, including consulting on lighting and art restoration.

Mr. Doyle was a Design Fellow at the National Endowment for the Arts in Washington, DC, has taught architectural history as a teaching fellow at Harvard University and has served on architectural juries at Columbia, Harvard, and Drexel schools of architecture.  For a state visit of the King of Nepal to the U.S. in 1984, he was responsible for both the content and design of an exhibit on The Kathmandu Valley at Harvard University Carpenter Center Gallery.  He is currently consulting on urban design and conservation in Patan, Nepal with UNESCO and the Nepalese government, and has overseen the development of a new college campus in Abuja, Nigeria for the Society of Jesus.  In Rome Italy, Mr. Doyle consulted on the restoration and renovation of the “Rooms of St. Ignatius” in the 15th Century Gesu.  He further assisted in the installation of an exhibit on the life of St. Ignatius.

Mr. Doyle has served as Vice President for Government Affairs of the New York State Association of Architects.  He is Vice-chairman of the Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust and also a member of the Advisory Board of St. Aloysius School.
