In December 1992, a disastrous fire destroyed a large portion of the St. Agnes Church and Parish complex.  ADP was immediately engaged to design and coordinate the stabilization of the remaining structure, prepare restoration drawings, and concurrently put the parish back in action by designing a temporary worship space in a gymnasium of an adjacent high school building.  Documentation of undamaged stained glass, statuary and other iconographic features of the original building were provided by ADP Architects.

ADP also provided coordination for the Grand Central Partnership, which operates a homeless shelter on the same premises. The shelter includes dining facilities, multiple showers, toilets, and recreational and instructional rooms.

In the rebuilding of the Church, careful attention was given to handicapped accessibility and compliance with current codes.  The space planning and programming with the pastor and parish council focused on integrating additional social and pastoral functions into the new structure of the church as well as the renovation of the existing rectory.  ADP also explored potential zoning development on adjacent church properties.  Working closely with the construction manager, ADP coordinated the electrical site work, infrastructural steam and domestic hot water.  Rebuilding began early in 1994 and was completed in 1997.
