Choir Loft - Pipe Organ
Acheson Doyle Partners designed and coordinated the installation of a $1.1 million pipe organ which was hailed by The New York Times as “one of the finest instruments to be found in the United States”. The choir loft in this landmark Park Avenue church was carefully evaluated and reconstructed to take the 35-ton loading of the new organ.
Acheson Doyle Partners was involved in all aspects of the project; including coordination with the organ fabricator, John Mander Company of London, England, the structural engineer, Robert Sillman Associates, and the lighting consultant, Thompson & Sears Lighting.
