The Ritz Tower, New York, NY

The Ritz Tower Hotel was erected in 1926, and at forty-one stories was the first high-rise apartment tower.  Emery Roth incorporated advanced technology in his design of the building, clothed in a manner such that Ayn Rand described it as "a Renaissance palace made of rubber and stretched to a height of forty stories."

Acheson Doyle Partners has worked on the building since 1987, restoring the facade, gutting and redesigning the lower five floors with banquet and kitchen facilities.  ADP has replaced the infrastructure of the seventy-four-year-old plumbing and electrical risers and developed new routes for high-speed telecommunication and data lines.  The lobby and public corridors have all been restored or redesigned.  Acheson Doyle Partners continues to represent the building and develops multi-year repair and capital expense budgets.
